Summary
We must reclaim our blessing! If we believe in Christ and have made a commitment to do right, God’s blessing belongs to us. However, we must continue to speak His Word and have Godly character in order to partake of the blessing.
- God the Father has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places (Ephesians 1:3).
- To be blessed means to be empowered to prosper.
- God is the source of all blessings.
- When we are blessed, we are fruitful in every area of life.
- The blessing defines us and enables God to intervene on our behalf.
- God blessed by declaring positive words over His creations (Genesis 1:22, 26-28).
- He blessed Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden because He wanted them to excel.
- God also spoke the blessing over Abraham (Genesis 12:1-3).
- We can partake of Abraham’s blessing today.
- When we believe in Jesus Christ, we become a part of the blessing of Abraham (Galatians 3:13, 14).
- God blesses us so we can be a blessing to others.
- The blessing works when we begin to understand our words.
- Your words have power.
- Your mouth is a divine apparatus.
- It can be used for evil or good; death and life are in the power of the tongue.
- To be blessed means to be empowered to prosper.
- We are blessed when we are persecuted for righteousness’ sake (for being and doing right) (Matthew 5:10-12, AMP ).
- The blessing comes with persecution; however, God always causes us to triumph.
- Joseph is a prime example of someone who was persecuted for being right (Genesis 39:1-23).
- God was with Joseph and prospered him.
- As a result of the blessing on his life, Joseph caused his master, Potiphar, to prosper.
- Potiphar promoted Joseph to overseer of the entire house.
- Joseph was an attractive young man with Godly character, and he got the attention of Potiphar’s wife. She tried to seduce him on more than one occasion; however, Joseph refused to sin against his master and God.
- Potiphar’s wife lied on Joseph, saying he raped her, and he was sent to jail as a result.
- God prospered Joseph even in jail.
- He obtained favor and became the manager of the jail.
- No one can curse what God has blessed. God will cause the injustices done to His people to be overturned.
- God was with Joseph and prospered him.
