We can also become distracted when we get caught up in the “doing.” In other words, we are doing a lot of “goody, goody” things for people or “in service” to the Lord. There is nothing wrong with doing good things for people, or serving the Lord, as long as we don’t neglect spending personal time with Him.
We keep our focus on the Lord when we pray, read, study, and meditate on the Word of God. Everything we need to live victoriously as Christians can be found in the Word of God. The Bible tells us that the Lord and the Word are one. Keeping our focus on Jesus is how we respond positively to God’s promises. As a result, our problems won’t weigh us down.
