The Prestige Ministry, a ministry that helps women get out of the sex industry, has partnered with the City of College Park Professional Probation Services to launch a Diversion Program for women involved in prostitution in College Park, Georgia. This three-phase intervention program is designed specifically for ladies who are first-time offenders, and on probation for soliciting a transaction involving sexual services in exchange for money. The goal of the Diversion Program is to deter women from continuing in the lifestyle of prostitution after their first arrest. Ladies must make frequent court appearances as well as meet with probation staff. In addition, the court will reward satisfactory behavior within the program and imposes sanctions for violation of the program guidelines.
